Kevin Franks Roofing Industrial Cladding Consultants was formed in 2000 and specialises in offering a roofing consultancy service covering all aspects of the industrial cladding industry in particular supervision, inspection, quality of the roofing and cladding installation and condition surveys.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Roofing (FIoR) and have spent three decades working in the cladding industry; the last seven years as director of one of the largest roofing and cladding contractors which provided the design, specification, supply and installation of metal cladding systems for all types of industrial buildings and retail parks, working on behalf of a variety of blue chip developers, architectural practices and main contractors.

I have considerable experience in all types of industrial metal cladding systems, including traditional twin skin installations, composite cladding systems and seamed roofing systems and this knowledge is available to all with interests in cladding systems who are seeking help, expertise and resource of cladding supervision, inspection and the quality of the installation of cladding systems.

I am currently retained on behalf of several blue chip main contractors, developers etc to oversee the roofing and cladding being undertaken on various new industrial projects, including retail parks. I have also worked in Europe for a large blue chip developer.

In addition, I have been involved in investigating cladding problems on older properties as well as carrying out condition surveys on several properties when required. I have been engaged by solicitors on cladding disputes where there has been a requirement for expert opinion.
