Castle Vale Housing Trust was established in June 1993 after a very positive tenants' ballot and took on the ownership of about 3,500 properties. From the outset, the HAT's vision was to establish a self-sustaining community living in high quality homes in a pleasant and safe environment. This has been achieved through working with residents and other partners to bring about not only sustainable physical regeneration but economic and community regeneration as well.
