Recommended Good Practice for Daylighting
in Metal Clad Buildings
Technical Papers

Rooflights are used on many metal clad industrial and commercial buildings to admit daylight to areas remote from windows. The quality of the lighting in a particular building depends on a number of factors including the rooflight area, their arrangement and the materials used. The use of rooflights can also affect the design and costs of heating and artificial lighting for the building. Correct specification, assembly and maintenance are essential to ensure satisfactory performance and durability. This guide is intended to help designers to specify rooflights in metal clad buildings so that their lighting, heating and durability objectives are achieved.
